If you keep posting ads that Facebook doesn’t accept, your ad account can be disabled, your credit card can be blocked, and you may not be able to advertise again. So after part 1, here are 10 more types of ad that Facebook rejects.
1. Shocking content
Facebook doesn’t allow ads with disturbing, shocking or violent content, or content that could stir up hostility between groups.
2. Personal attributes
Ads may not directly or indirectly refer to personal information or attributes, such as religion or beliefs, age, gender, identity documents, disability or medical test results.
3. Misinformation
Facebook bans ads that repeatedly spread information considered false, as well as ads for counterfeit goods or scams.
4. Controversial issues
Ads that exploit controversial economic or social issues for commercial gain are also banned.
5. Non-functional landing pages
Ads can’t lead to broken pages, pages under construction, pages unrelated to the ad, or pages that just send people on to somewhere else, such as a group or another link.
6. Spyware and deceptive products
Ads for spy cameras, tracking devices or any hidden equipment designed to deceive other people are not allowed.
7. Bad grammar and profanity
Ads must not contain offensive or obscene language, poor grammar, spelling mistakes or swearing that would annoy the public.
8. Non-existent functionality
Ads can’t include features that don’t actually work. For example, Facebook won’t accept fake “play” buttons drawn on an image to look real, or still images made to look like videos.
9. Personal health
Ads can’t show “before and after” images, images of cosmetic surgery and similar content.
10. Payday loans, cash advances and bail bonds
Ads for payday loans, cash advances, bail bonds, or short-term loans meant to cover someone’s expenses until their next payday are not allowed.
