Websites: pricing, payment and timelines
How much does a website cost in Myanmar?
Our websites start from 890,000 MMK. The final price depends on the size and complexity of the site and the features you need, such as e-commerce or a content management system (CMS). Compare our website packages and request a quotation for an exact price.
Do I have to pay the full amount upfront?
No. You pay in two instalments: a 50% deposit when you sign the agreement, and the remaining balance when your website is finished and goes live.
How long does it take to build a website?
For our standard website packages, it takes about one month: around one week for the design and two to three weeks for development. Customised websites can take one to two months, depending on the type of website. These times do not include the time it takes you to send us your content.
What is included in every website package?
Every package includes one domain, search engine optimisation (SEO), unlimited disk space and bandwidth, a Google location map, a visitor statistics account, social media integration, a favicon, quality control (QC), testing on all devices and browsers, website backup, three to five design proposals, SSL, responsive design and design customisation.
What is the difference between the Basic, Hybrid, Superb and Earning packages?
The main differences are the number of pages, webmail accounts and free updates. Basic includes up to 10 pages, 4 webmail accounts and 4 free updates a year, with CMS as an add-on. Hybrid includes up to 30 pages, 8 webmail accounts, 8 free updates a year and CMS. Superb and Earning include unlimited pages, 12 webmail accounts, 12 free updates a year, CMS and website speed optimisation, and Earning also includes advanced SEO. Annual fee, maintenance and support
What does the annual fee include?
The annual fee covers your domain, hosting and webmail, plus our free update service (4, 8 or 12 updates a year, depending on your package), maintenance throughout the year, monthly website backups and customer support during office hours (Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00).
How is the annual fee calculated and when do I pay it?
Your website’s term starts from the date you sign the agreement. We will remind you one month before it expires, and the annual fee is due one week before the expiry date.
Do you charge monthly or yearly for websites and webmail?
Yearly. Websites and webmail are billed with an annual fee.
Will you teach me how to update my website myself?
Yes. If your website has a CMS, we give you easy-to-follow video recordings that show you how to change the text and images yourself, and you can ask us about anything that is unclear.
Do you maintain websites that were built by someone else?
Yes. We can maintain an existing website month by month or under a six-month maintenance contract, priced according to how much work is needed. We will need the website’s admin account and either an FTP or a cPanel account.
Hosting, domain and webmail
Do I need to buy web hosting separately?
Not if we build your website: every MWD website package already includes a domain and hosting. You only need separate hosting if you are building the website yourself or with another developer. See web hosting.
What kind of hosting do you provide?
We provide fast and secure cPanel hosting with unlimited disk space and bandwidth, which you can use for your website, your email or both. We set it up for you and give you how-to videos, and our hosting is provided together with our Thai hosting partner, DAB (Digital Agency Bangkok).
How do you keep my website and data safe?
We keep both online and offline backups from the day your website launches, and the online backup runs every month. Security is built in when we write the code, and our QC team checks it again before launch. If anything happens to your website, we can bring it back online within 24 hours.
What is a domain, and do I need one?
A domain is your website’s address, such as www.myanmarwebdesigner.com. Think of it as a plot of land with a full address: once it’s yours, no one else can take it, and you can build your website and business email on it. Domains include top-level domains such as .com, .org and .net, and country-code domains such as .com.mm. Every MWD website package includes one domain. Learn more about domains.
What is webmail, and why not just use Gmail?
Webmail is a business email address that uses your company’s domain, such as [email protected], instead of [email protected]. Because anyone can get Gmail for free, business emails from free addresses earn less trust. Webmail shows customers which company is writing and promotes your brand with every message. You can still use it through a Gmail-style interface and on your phone. See webmail services.
How many email accounts do I get?
It depends on your package: Basic includes 4 webmail accounts, Hybrid includes 8, and Superb and Earning include 12.
SEO, Google Ads and Facebook ads
Will my website show up on Google?
We do basic SEO for every website we build, so people can find it on Google by your business name. If you want to rank for words related to your products or services, you will need our separate SEO service.
How is SEO priced?
SEO is priced as a fixed cost. Unlike pay-per-click advertising on Facebook or Google, the price stays the same however many visitors your website gets. Contact us for an SEO quote.
What is the difference between SEO and Google Ads?
Google Ads are paid ads that appear in the ads section of Google’s results, and you pay each time someone clicks. SEO helps your website appear in the regular search results, at a fixed cost however much traffic you get. See Google advertising.
Should I advertise on Facebook or Google?
Most people in Myanmar are on Facebook, so Facebook is usually best for reaching local consumers. Google is the best way to reach international customers and people who are already searching for what you sell. Many businesses use both. See digital marketing.
Why was my Facebook ad rejected?
Facebook rejects ads that break its advertising policies, for example shocking content, content about personal attributes, misinformation, fake buttons, before-and-after health images or payday loans. Can you manage my Facebook page for me?
